Technical diving is a discipline, not just an activity. At Wolff Diving, our training is rigorous, performance-based, and focused on safety through competence.
Whether you are looking to enter the overhead environment of a cenote or extend your bottom time with decompression procedures, our instructors ensure you master every skill before certification.
Precision in every dive
Technical Excellence
This is the entry point into technical diving. The course focuses heavily on refining
your core skills: buoyancy, trim, and propulsion techniques (frog kick, helicopter turn,
back kick). You will learn to manage a twinset manifold, switch to a backup regulator
seamlessly, and configure your equipment for streamlining and safety.
Beyond the physical skills, we introduce the technical mindset. You'll engage in land
drills to perfect your valve manipulation and S-drills before entering the water. Video
analysis is used after every session to critique and improve your form, ensuring you
leave with a solid foundation for all future technical training.

Extend your no-decompression limits or accelerate your decompression stops. The Advanced
Nitrox course qualifies you to use Enriched Air Nitrox from EAN21 up to 100% Oxygen. You
will learn the physiology of oxygen toxicity, advanced gas planning, and the procedures
for using a stage cylinder for decompression gases.
We cover CNS and pulmonary oxygen toxicity tracking in depth, as well as the 'best mix'
selection for your planned depths. Practical applications include gas analysis, proper
cylinder labeling, and practicing stage cylinder handling underwater to maintain
streamlined trim while carrying additional tanks.
Prerequisites
Nitrox Diver, Intro to Tech (recommended)

Sidemount offers unparalleled flexibility and redundancy, especially in overhead
environments like caves. This technical level course teaches you to manage two
independent cylinders, handle gas failures, and navigate restrictions with ease. It is
the preferred configuration for exploration in the Tulum area.
You will master gas management protocols to balance your cylinders and ensure equal
consumption. Training includes solving complex equipment failures—such as regulator
free-flows or valve shutdowns—while maintaining a stable hover. We also focus on hose
routing and streamlining to keep a low profile in tight spaces.
Prerequisites
Advanced Open Water, 30 Dives
Duration
3 Days / 4 Dives

Discover the comfort of sidemount diving without the technical overhead. This
recreational course introduces the harness and regulator configuration, focusing on
balance, trim, and the freedom of movement that sidemount provides. Perfect for
photographers or divers looking to relieve back strain.
We guide you through the initial setup of the harness to fit your body perfectly. You'll
learn the proper way to enter and exit the water with tanks, how to attach and detach
them at the surface and at depth, and enjoy the sensation of having your gas supply
easily accessible under your arms rather than on your back.

Technical diving demands high stamina. Be prepared to swim with double tanks and handle equipment on land.
We test your problem-solving under stress. Panic is not an option in the overhead environment.
You must own or rent tech-grade gear. We provide guidance on purchasing the right tools for the job.
